Spectator on White
video, 15 ’20’’, 2012
A video consisting three spectators and three exhibition spaces. The spectators are going through imaginary exhibitions consisting artworks recalled from their memory, invisible to the viewer of the video. The exhibition spaces are presented as neutral white cubes, without any reference to their location or name but familiar to local audiences. Throughout the video, the spectators are oscillating in time, either are looking at something that was there or constructing/imagining the exhibition that is not yet there. What remains are the experience and the act of thinking, performed by abstract entities.
